India’s sprinter Animesh Kujur has created history. He won the race in Greece with 10.18 seconds in the Dromia International Sprint and Relage Meeting Competition.

Animesh Kujur set a new record.
Animesh Kujur now has both 100 meters and 200 meters national records. He broke the previous national record by taking 20.32 seconds in the men’s 200 meter finals of the Asian Athletics Championship in South Korea in May. Earlier, the Asian Games silver medalist Mohammad Afsal broke his own national record. And became the first Indian to take time to take time within 1:45 minutes in the men’s 800 meter race in Memorial Cheslawa Sibulskigigo in Pozan, Poland.
Animesh Kujur did his early education from Vedner Mission Higher Secondary School in Mahasamund district in Chhattisgarh. He came to Kanker after completion of his studies till class five. Where he completed his further education from St. Michael School, due to the transfer of the father, Animesh Kujur’s education was affected in the initial days. He had to go where the father was transferred.
