New Delhi: A Permanent Account Number (PAN) is an important 10-conductive alphanumeric ID for any business or jobplace, which the Income Tax Department issues. It plays an important role in financial transactions. This includes filing income tax returns (ITR), opening bank account and investing in the stock market. Having a PAN card is necessary to run financial management smoothly.

If you immediately need a PAN card and you do not have, you can get it in minutes using the E-Pan facility. Let us tell you how you can apply for it.

Step 1: Go to the official income tax e-filing website (www.incometax.gov.in) and click on the ‘Instant E-Pan’ option in the ‘Quick Links’ section there.

Step 2: Choose ‘Get New Pan’ to continue the application. After this enter your Aadhaar number, check the announcement box and click on ‘Continue’.

Step 4: Before that you move forward, you have to accept the conditions and rules. Swell it and then click on ‘Continue’.

Step 5: Enter your OTP once again, check the confirmation box, and click on ‘Continue’.

Step 6: If your email id is not verified, click on ‘Validate Email ID’, check the box and proceed.

After the completion of this process, you will get your E-Pan.
