He surprised everyone by putting a strong six to Shardul Thakur of Lucknow Super Giants. On IPL debut, Vaibhav caught the attention of the cricket world by playing a fast innings of 34 runs in 20 balls. He started his IPL career by hitting a six off Shardul Thakur. Rajasthan Royals bought Vaibhav in last year’s mega auction for Rs 1.1 crore and was placed on a strict diet to prepare for IPL.
His coach Manish Ojha told the Times of India, “He has been given clear instructions to him, not to eat mutton. Pizza has been removed from his diet chart. He likes chicken and mutton.
