New Delhi: In childhood and youth, the film star had to face people’s failure due to his tricks, voice. People used to make fun of them. The joke had a bad effect on his mind, but instead of allowing evil to agree on himself, he worked on his abilities and emerged as a big name of Bollywood.
We are talking about Karan Johar. He told in an interview to Raj Shamani that many people used to make fun of him, but his parents Yash Johar and Heeru Jauhar used to defend him. Karan Johar revealed that his father inspired him to dance openly and even suggested him to become an actor. Karan told that he took class for more than two years to change his voice.
Facing people’s failure
Director Karan Johar said, ‘I always faced the world and his fans. I remember that I went to a public speaking class. Those who were teaching me there stopped me after class and said- you will find a lot of difficulties in the society because your voice is like girls. Bring baritone in it. For that we will make you go to voice exercise.

When you had to speak to father
Karan Johar says that today he will not ask anyone to change. The director said that he lied to his father about his class, because he was ashamed. He said, ‘I went to do that class for two years, so that I can bring baritone in my voice and make a voice like men. I did class for two to three years. I told my father that I am doing a computer class, because I was very ashamed to tell that I was doing this. I was feeling embarrassed. Three years later, Baritone came in my voice. He not only taught me Baritone, but also taught me how to walk, how to become more masculine.
Karan Johar’s special advice to the youth
Karan Johar advised the new generation and said, ‘Today I will never give this advice to anyone. I would say, ‘Be what you are. If you are running in a special way, then let’s go on like that. If you are talking in this way, then talk the same. Do not change yourself for anyone. Karan Johar started his direction with a romantic comedy-drama ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. After this, he has directed films like ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, ‘Student of the Year’ ‘Bombay Talkies’. The previous film ‘Rocky and Rani’s love story’ made under his direction was successful.
