Telangana government honored Allu Arjun, will get award for ‘Pushpa 2’, superstar expresses happiness

New Delhi: The Telangana government announced ‘Gadar Telangana Film Awards 2024’ on Thursday 29 May after a gap of 14 years. Allu Arjun has been declared the best actor for his performance in ‘Pushpa 2’. Arjuna expressed happiness and said that he is feeling honored. Sharing a post on the social media platform X, the actor wrote in the caption, ‘I am honored by receiving the Best Actor Award for’ Pushpa 2 ‘in Gadar Telangana Film Awards 2024. Thanks to the Telangana government for this prestigious honor.

The actor wrote, ‘All the credit for this goes to my director Sukumar Sir, my makers and Pushpa team. I dedicate this award to all my fans, your unwavering support inspires me. ‘ Telangana Film Vikas Nigam (FDC) president Dil Raju and senior actress Jayasudha announced the ‘Gadar Telangana Film Awards 2024’ at a press conference at News Bhawan in Masabtank. Jaisudha along with Dil Raju headed the 15 -member jury committee, which selected the winners. Niveta Thomas has been selected for the Best Actress Award for ’35-Chichinna Katha Kadu ‘.

S.J. Surya received the Best Supporting Actor Award for ‘Saripoda Sanwarm’, while Saranya Pradeep received the Best Supporting Actress Award for her performance in ‘Ambajipatta Mariga Band’. This is the first official state level film award since the formation of Telangana. The last time this award function was organized in the year 2011. Jaisudha said that the jury received 1,248 nominations for awards in 11 categories. The awards will be presented on 14 June. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced last year that the Nandi Award would be re -organized to promote Telugu cinema and it would be renamed after revolutionary poet and lyricist Gumadi Vitthal Rao alias Gadar, who died in 2023.
