New Delhi: The story of friendship and bonding of superstar Rajinikanth, producer and politician RM Veerappan in the Tamil film world is well known. Many of Rajinikanth’s hit films, in fact, were made by RM Veerappan under Satya Movies. In memory of RM Veerappan, recently Rajinikanth spoke openly in a documentary called RMV: The Kingmaker. Rajinikanth also told about what happened during the 100th day celebration of Basha (made by Satya Movies) and why he spoke against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
AIADMK minister was RM Veerappan
RM Veerappan, who was a Minister of AIADMK in the Government of Tamil Nadu and Rajinikanth also shared the stage with him at the Basha program in Chennai in 1995. When Coolie Star gave his speech, he talked about ‘Varigala Achi’ (hereditary politics), ‘bomb culture’ in the state and how Tamil Nadu can become a ‘cemetery’. The final result of his speech was that RM Veerappan was dropped from the government by Jayalalithaa, with whom she has always had uncomfortable relations.
Rajinikanth is very sad for Veerappan
Rajinikanth said in the video now released for 30 years that he is very unhappy with what happened to Veerappan and the next day he expressed regret and called him. Rajinikanth appreciated RM Veerappan’s humility and intelligence
According to the superstar, RMV just ignored the incident and moved forward in life. Padayappa appears to be emotional in the star video even when he says that this incident was one of the main reasons, due to which she politically opposed Jayalalithaa and later talked against her. He praised RM Veerappan for the ‘Kingmaker’ skills, for which politicians were known and also appreciated his intelligence and humility.
