New Delhi: Sonu Nigam is alleged to have given an objectionable and inflammatory statement among a private concert in Bangalore. An FIR has been lodged against the singer on the basis of complaint. Sonu Nigam has been accused of promoting enmity among groups, defamation and insulting religious or linguistic sensations. The FIR states that the purpose of the comments of Sonu Nigam was to spread hatred between Kannada and other linguistic groups. Sonu Nigam has given a clarification by doing a video on the matter.
Singer Sonu Nigam said that there are ways to raise slogans in support and then there is also ‘Kannada’ shouting in a threatening tone. He said that there is a difference in the way it says. There were four or five ‘people like’ in the audience ‘. While they were screaming, many people were asking them to calm down and the girls were also asking them not to bother them.
