New Delhi. Host Lucknow Supergiants received a crushing defeat from Chennai Super Kings in their home. After this defeat, questions are being raised on the strategy of Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant. Pant himself did not talk much about this, but now his fellow players are seen defending their captain. Leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi, while supporting Rishabh Pant’s decision, said that he had some special plans in his mind as a captain.
When Chennai Super Kings needed 56 runs off 30 balls and Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Shivam Dubey were playing. On such an occasion, Rishabh Pant opposed the fast bowlers instead of a spinner, but his claim could not be made and Dhoni gave his team victory by scoring 26 runs off 11 balls. Ravi Bishnoi said after the match, ‘I really did not talk to him (Rishabh Pant). I came to the pitch twice but perhaps there were some more plans in his mind. Perhaps his attitude was something else.
Ravi Bishnoi said, ‘Wicketkeeper captain can better assess the circumstances and he can understand things well due to standing behind the wicket. So I believe that he made the same decision that he felt better.
Bishnoi said, ‘There was no talk to him to get my fourth over. His attitude was clear what he wanted to do. In such stressful situations it is better that the captain move forward with his thinking so that he can make a better decision.
