India had recently banned the contents of Pakistani artists and presentations, which Pakistan described as “unilateral and cultural aggression”.
The official letter of the Government of Pakistan (No. 3 (35)/2025-MIB) has confirmed that the PBA’s decision to ban Indian songs is in the interest of national unity and sovereignty in view of the current situation.

Cited national interest In the letter, Pakistan Information Minister Ataullah Tarad said: “It is a symbol of the collective feelings of the nation and is a sign of our national unity in difficult times.” The government has also appealed to the media to unite in the national interest.
India took steps two days ago
The Government of India recently took strict steps against Pakistan, banning several Pak YouTube channels and social media accounts in India. The decision was taken on 22 April 2025 after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 Hindu tourists were killed. India has blamed Pakistan for this attack, which has increased tension between the two countries.
Restricted channels and accounts
The major Pakistani YouTube channels that the Government of India has banned include the channels of former cricketers Shoaib Akhtar, journalist Arzu Kazmi and Syed Muzammil Shah. Apart from this, many film personalities and Pakistani serials, Hum TV, also got TV with up-tube on YouTube.
These channels are accused of anti -India campaign and spreading misinformation. In addition, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif’s X (East Twitter) account has also been blocked in India, as he claimed in an interview that the Pahalgam attack was created by India himself.
