Pakistan Cricketer Haider Ali Arrested in UK: Pakistani cricketer Haider Ali arrested on rape charges

New Delhi. Pakistan cricket is always in the discussion for some reason or the other, but this time a very embarrassing incident has happened. The young player Haider Ali was arrested by the Greater Manchester Police. He was on a tour of the United Kingdom with Pakistan’s ‘A’ team Pakistan Shaheen. According to sources, the arrest took place after accusing a girl of rape. After the incident came to light, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suspended Hyder Ali at the moment.

A report has been said. Hyder was arrested by Greater Manchester Police from Becanham Ground. Pakistan Shaheen was playing against MCSAC on 3 August. According to a report by Telecom Asia Sports, a source said, “This is a case of rape against a Pakistani -origin girl.”

Sources confirmed that the Greater Manchester Police had confiscated Hyder’s passport but has been released on bail. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that they will cooperate in the investigation and support Hyder in fighting the case. Meanwhile, PCB has suspended Hyder Ali until a decision comes on him in this matter. A PCB spokesperson told www.teletcomasia.net, “We were told about the matter and investigation. We have suspended Hyder till the investigation is completed and will investigate our own in the UK.”

Sources said, “He started crying after Hyder was arrested from the ground. During the investigation he said that he is innocent.”

Pakistan Shaheen was on a tour of UK from 17 July to 6 August and played two three-day matches, both drawn, and won the three-match ODI series, in which he won 2–1. Most of the players returned from UK on Wednesday, leaving captain Saud Shakeel and Haider.

24 -year -old Haider is a talented player who has played two ODIs and 35 T20 Internationals for Pakistan. The last time in the Asian Games two years ago. He played the Under-19 World Cup for Pakistan in South Africa in 2020, from where Yashasvi Jaiswal of India also emerged.
