People have been prevented from going inside at Amritsar Airport. Due to which a crowd has gathered outside the airport.
After the operation ‘Sindoor’ launched by the Government of India, security arrangements have been tightened at the Attari border of Amritsar and the International Airport at Shri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport. The message has been given by the Airport Authority- all the concerned are informed, all commercials/citizens domestic and international flight services from Amritsar Airport have been postponed till 05:30 am.
All 22 flights of today canceled
ADCP-2, Srivinaila said that all 22 flights of Amritsar have been canceled today. Orders have been ordered to close the airport until further orders. Information till the cancellation of flights to passengers has been sent through messages.

Major things so far:
- Qatar Airways flight number QTR54B, which was coming from Doha to Amritsar, was bended back from Pakistan’s air space and sent to the Muscat Airport in Oman. This flight was about to land Amritsar at 2:10 pm.
- The flight of SpiceJet coming from Sharjah to Amritsar has also been canceled.
- All flights coming from Pune, Mumbai and Delhi to Amritsar have been canceled.

All other airlines including IndiGo issued an advisory saying that all passengers should confirm their flight status by contacting the airline before leaving for the airport.
Why vigilance increased in Amritsar
The distance from Amritsar to Pakistan border is around 32 km. But the important thing is that India has done an air strike at Murid-K in Punjab, Pakistan province, which is only 60 km from Amritsar. These important steps have been taken only in view of seriousness.
Food stock stock
After the order of mock drill, people have started stocking food items. People stood in queues for ration till late night. There was a crowd for vegetables and long queues were seen at petrol pumps.
People living on the border were seen buying goods from ration shops in Amritsar city till late last night. After the strike, DC Sakshi Sahni ordered all private and government schools to be closed at 7.30 am.
