Zumba class will be started in Kerala schools from this year. This class has also started in some schools. Muslim organizations have opposed Zumba Dance. These organizations have objected to boys and girls dancing with each other and wearing less clothes and dancing together.
Muslim organizations say it is like promoting vulgarity. We will not accept it. TK Ashraf, general secretary of the Wisdom Islamic Organization, said- My son will not participate in this session.
The Kerala Education Department has started a fitness program in schools under an anti -drug campaign. Under this, many schools have started training Zumba. Education Minister V Shivnakutty said that such thoughts will dissolve more deadly poison than drugs in the society.

Muslim leaders said- Do not impose obscenity in the name of fitness Nasar Faizi Kouthai, a leader of a Muslim organization Samasta, described the move as violation of personal freedom and imposing obscenity in the name of physical fitness. He said- Dance is done in Jumba by wearing at least clothes. If the government has instructed older children to do the same, then it is objectionable.
Nasar Faizi said, “Instead of improving existing physical training, do not force us to do porn. It is also a violation of personal freedom and fundamental rights of those students, moral values also do not allow dance.

Shivnakutty said that according to the Right to Education (RTI), children should participate in the process of learning set by the government. He said, “Parents have no option in this case. Parents should understand that it is being organized as part of an anti-drug campaign and awareness classes. Objections will promote communalism and differences rather than improving education.”
