After this, the Indian team craved to score and Spain won the match.
The first quarter in Pro League hockey between India and Spain was to try each other’s strength. Abhishek made an opportunity for Lalit Upadhyay but apart from this, the Indian team could not say any attack. On the other hand, Indian goalkeeper Krishan Bahadur also did not have to work hard in the first quarter because the shots of Spanish players did not accurate. India landed the goalkeeper Suraj Karra in the second quarter and he saved a goal from Spain as soon as he came.
India scored the first goal, yet lost
Sukhjit scored the first goal of the match in the 25th minute, which was passed by Jarmanpreet Singh from the right flank. He failed to trap it in the first attempt but scored a goal by dodging the Spanish goalkeeper on a rapidly strong reverse hit. Three minutes later, Spain scored an equal goal. Taking advantage of the weak protection of the Indian team, Ignashio gave the team a boost in the third quarter. India lost several penalty corners in the third and fourth quarters. Four minutes before the last whistle, Bruno scored a third goal for Spain on a penalty corner found by Harmanpreet’s mistake.
