This report has been released by Registrar General of India (RGI). According to this, in 2021, suddenly 20 lakh more deaths occurred, the biggest reason for which was believed to be the lack of lockdown and reporting.

What is medically certified death? ‘Medically certified death’ means death due to which a doctor or medical professional has certified. Actually, by certifying all deaths, it shows which diseases people are dying more.
Apart from this, certification helps in understanding treatment, awareness and severity for major diseases. For example, if most of the deaths during the Korona period were medically certified, it would have helped the government to do health budget and planning.

Kovid had no significant impact among children up to 4 years old. Accident, poison and injury were the major cause of death among people aged 5 to 24 years.
At the same time, there was an increase in the number of people who died of heart disease among the youth of 15 to 24 years of age. Here, death from Corona proved to be the second major cause of heart disease among people of 25-44 years. Apart from this, 35% of the 45+ age people died of heart disease.

Death figures out of corona out of government claims According to the MCCD report, the death toll from Corona was 5.74 lakhs. But the Health Ministry claimed 5.33 lakh deaths in Parliament. This number is 40,533 deaths from the MCCD report. However, the report has also clarified that in 2021 there were 1 crore total deaths, in which only 24 lakhs were certified. In such a situation, most of the deaths that suddenly increased in 2021 could not be clear.
