New Delhi: Bollywood actress Laila Khan, who worked with Rajesh Khanna in the 2008 film Wafa: A Deadly Love Story, was part of a sad and shocking case. Nearly 3 years after becoming popular with this film, there was a sensation news in Bollywood in 2011, which everyone was surprised after hearing it. However, Laila Khan and Rajesh Khanna’s Wafa A Deadly Love Story flopped badly. It was not only denied at the box office, as well as criticism. However, the criticism of the film gave Laila Khan a lot of popularity. Laila’s real name was Reshma Patel and she was married to Munir Khan, a member of the Ban Terrorsm Group. In 2011, Laila and some of her family members went missing. Later, it was believed that they were all killed.

On January 30, 2011, Laila Khan’s family left Mumbai for his holiday home in Igatpuri. The actress’s family consisted of her mother, siblings and cousins. A few days later, on 9 February, her mother told a relative over phone that she is in Chandigarh with her third husband Parvez Iqbal Tak. After that, there was no contact with the family again. Laila’s father lodged a missing report, and at that time filmmaker Rakesh Sawant, who was working with him, also lodged a report of his disappearance. On July 17, 2012, Laila Khan’s father Nadir Shah Patel approached the Bombay High Court. He appealed to the court that the investigation of his daughter’s case should be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), claiming that the crime branch is not making enough progress.

Not only Laila’s husband but her stepfather Parvez Iqbal Tak and Asif Sheikh were also suspected to have a relationship with terrorist groups. The name of both was joined with terrorist. Tak was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police on 21 June 2012, when he was investigating a separate case. In the initial interrogation, Parvez Iqbal Tak confessed that Laila Khan and her family were shot dead in Maharashtra in February 2011. But later he changed his statement and claimed that he was still alive.

Later father killed daughter and leaf
Eventually Parvez Iqbal Tak told the Mumbai Crime Branch that she had planned to kill Laila Khan’s mother Shelina due to personal issues. He admitted that he killed Laila and her family and buried her bodies behind her bungalow in Igatpuri. Asif Sheikh, who was later arrested in Bengaluru, also confessed that he had helped Tak in the murders. During the investigation, the police found six bodies buried near the bungalow, it is believed that they belong to Laila and her family. In November 2012, the DNA test results confirmed that the remains found in Laila Khan’s farmhouse in Igatpuri were actually from her and her family members. He was allegedly murdered by his stepfather and died on January 30, 2011.
