The Ministry of Defense on Tuesday appealed to the media and the people to respect the secrecy of senior military officers and their families. The government has issued an advisory in this regard. It wrote, “Avoid printing addresses of private residences of serving or retired military officers and interviewing their families.”
The Defense Ministry has said in the advisory that avoid print or broadcasting residential addresses, photos of family members or other private details until its invitation or permission has been officially given.
The Ministry of Defense has released this advisory with a sign of Vijay Kumar (ADG, M&C).
Why did the Ministry release the advisory?
The ministry said, ‘Many officers came to the media from time to time to give information related to military activities during Operation Sindoor. Constant coverage about these officers reached his family members and personal life.
‘Media persons allegedly went to his residence and tried to contact their family members. Apart from this, coverage was done on personal issues, not officially from the family of army officers.

The SP president demanded immediate activation of ED, CBI, cyber security and other investigative agencies.
Apart from this, he said- The government stops the iconic YouTube channels in the name of security of the country, but why not take any action against such people. If the government does not take any step within 24 hours, the public will understand at whose behest these elements are working and who is saving them. BJP’s silence will be considered its involvement.
