The number of people who died of Corona viruses across the country is increasing rapidly. According to the Health Department, 65 patients have died from Korona in 11 states since January 2025. Of these, 58 deaths have occurred in the last 10 days. On an average, 5-6 lives have been lost every day for a week.
The number of active cases of Korona has reached 6133. Kerala has the highest number of 1950 cases. This is followed by 822 active cases in Gujarat, 693 in West Bengal and 686 in Delhi. About 400 new cases are coming up every day.
According to the official source of the Health Department- the central government is drilling preparations amidst the increasing cases of Corona. All states have been instructed to make adequate arrangements for oxygen, isolation beds, ventilaters and essential medicines.

- Gujarat: The state government said- We are fully prepared to fight Kovid. Hospitals have made arrangements for beds, ventilaters and ICU beds. We are on alert, can control any situation. Health Minister Rushikesh Patel said that the current variant Omikron Virus belongs to the Kovid family, but it is not so serious.
- Kerala: The Health Department has instructed hospitals to follow the Kovid guidelines issued in June 2023 while treating patients with symptoms of Kovid-19 and influenza. Everyone in hospitals It is mandatory to apply masks. Also, the covid test of patients with symptoms like cold, cough and fever has been made mandatory.
- Maharashtra: According to the state government, the total number of people who died in the state since January is 17. Of these, 16 were also suffering from other diseases. This year, 13,707 samples have been tested so far. Of these, 1064 Kovid positive came.
- Gujarat: According to government data, 18 out of 508 corona patients are hospitalized, while 490 are undergoing treatment in home isolation. The press release states that the Kovid-19 cases are usually seen in 6 or 8 months. There is no need to panic.
- Karnataka: Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences has made a 25 -bed covid ward. Of these, five beds are for ICU (including ventilator), high dependency units and five pregnant women. The remaining 10 are normal beds.

- Himachal Pradesh: After the first case of Kovid in the state, it was made mandatory for everyone to wear masks in the hospital on June 4. The first case was found on June 3 in Nahan in Sirmaur district.

Kovid’s JN.1 variant is the most common in India. This variant is found in more than half of the samples in testing. This is followed by cases of BA.2 (26 percent) and Omikron Sabalines (20 percent) variants.
Jn.1 variant Weakens immunity JN.1 is a strain of BA2.86 of Omikron. It was first seen in August 2023. In December 2023, WHO declared it ‘variant of interest’. It has about 30 mutations, which weaken immunity.
According to Johns Hopkins University in America, JN.1 spreads more easily than other variants, but it is not very serious. It remains the most common variant in many parts of the world.
Symptoms of JN.1 variant may live from a few days to weeks. If your symptoms persist for a long time, then you may have a long time to live. This is a condition in which some symptoms of Covid-19 persist even after recovering.
