New Delhi. Now Amazon has made it easy for you to get a lab test sitting at home. The company has launched a new service called Amazon Diagnostics. This service of Amazon is promising that within 60 minutes of booking, it will collect your blood samples and within 6 hours you will get a digital report.
Amazon’s new series is currently in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and covers more than 450 PIN codes. You can book more than 800 tests directly from Amazon app, choose time slots and track everything from sample pickup to final report.
Partnership with this lab
To make this possible, Amazon has partnered with Bangalore -based diagnostics company Orange Health Labs, which already provides rapid testing at home in many cities.
This is very easy. You go to the Amazon app, select the test you need and book on your suitable time. A medical professional will come to your house and take a sample and your report for the basic test will be sent on your phone in a few hours.
Amazon says that he wants to reduce the delays and complications in conducting lab tests. Now there will be no need to go to the clinic, stand in long queues or find a nearby lab. Jayarakrishnan Balasubramanian, who led Amazon’s healthcare efforts in India, said that the goal of the company is to make health services easier and more reliable.
Now, by adding lab tests, Amazon is offering the facility to talk to the doctor, conduct tests and order medicines from the same app. This service is currently limited in 6 cities, but if it is successful, Amazon will start it soon in more places.
