Nada has imposed a three -year ban by Nada for many players, including gold medalist Gagandeep Singh in the National Games. Gagandeep’s ban will start from 19 February 2025.

Gagandeep, who represented the army, won the gold medal with the best throw of 55.01 meters in the men’s flywheel throw at the Uttarakhand National Games on 12 February. After this, he was found positive in doping investigation. He was temporarily suspended after his sample confirmed ‘testosterone metabolites’. This 30 -year -old player will start the ban period from 19 February 2025.
Sachin Kumar and Jainu Kumar, two other athletes of the track and field, have also got the benefit of this provision. Under this, the period of their ban has been reduced by one year. Sachin’s three -year ban has started from 10 February, while for Jainu this date is 20 February.
The provision has been benefited by judo players Monica Chaudhary and Nandini Vats, Para Powerlifters Umeshpal Singh and Samuel Vanlaltanpuiya, Bhaotolak Kavinder, Kabaddi player Shubham Kumar, wrestler Mughal Sharma, Wushu Khiladi Aman and Rahul Tomar besides a minor wrestler. Most of them were temporarily suspended by Nada earlier this year.
