Britain’s study found that excessive use of makeup products may increase the risk of asthma. The chemicals present in cheap makeup affect the breath and hormonal system.

Highlights
- Makeup can increase the risk of asthma by 47%.
- Chemicals in cheap makeup affect the breath and hormonal system.
- Take care of makeup brush, sponges and hygiene of beauty blenders.
In this study, scientists did research on around 40,000 people, which found that women who regularly use makeup products such as lipstick, eyeshadow, mascara, fake nails, blush or cutical creams are up to 47 percent of the risk of asthma. Indeed, these cosmetics contain many types of preservatives, hormone-distilbing chemicals and heavy metals that affect our skin, breath and hormonal system. Prolonged use of these substances can accumulate toxic elements inside the body, which make the immune system weak and can cause inflammation in the respiratory tract.
Health expert Sameer Bhati says that some chemicals present in makeup also disturb the body’s hormonal system, which not only affect the respiratory system, but also increases the cases of skin allergies and infections. He advised that we should read the label carefully before purchasing any product and check what are the chemicals in it. If the skin is sensitive or already has an allergy problem, then it is better to avoid such chemicals. Also, makeup brush, sponge and hygiene of beauty blenders should also be taken care of so that the risk of infection can be reduced.
