Nobody could cross 700 figures
In the year 2024, 17 candidates got rank 1. The score of all these candidates was 720 out of 720. Due to this, rank inflation was done, that is, even after getting good marks, a good rank could not be found. Candidates who brought 600+ last year could not get a government college.
But this time the topper i.e. rank 1 Mahesh Kumar has got 686 marks out of 720. At the same time, Utkarsh, who achieved rank 2, has got only 682 marks. This year 720 so have no candidates have been able to achieve 700 marks.
There is also a difference of 3 marks between rank 1 and rank 2, which is much higher for a highly competition exam like NEET UG.
This year there are only 73 candidates to score 630+ marks. At the same time, 600+ marks have been given to only 1,259 candidates. In 2024, 600+ marks were received by 80,000 candidates.
Along with this, the cut-off of general category has also come down to 144 marks, which was 162 last year. This has happened due to the paper being difficult and laidy.
