Sirohi : 3500 runners who arrived from India and abroad in the 7th International Half Marathon held at Mount Abu, the famous hill station in Sirohi district of the state, gave the message of world brotherhood while running. Two runners of Jodhpur won the marathon. At the same time, a runner from Gujarat finished second.

7th grandmother Prakashmani Abu International Half Marathon was flagged off by senior officials of local MP Lumbaram Chaudhary, MLA, Brahmakumarij from Manmohanivan. The finishing point Om Shanti Bhawan reached Mount Abu via Marathon foothills, Churabai, Aarana. On the way, refreshments and water facilities were provided for the runners every 4 kilometers. Police Jabta was also deployed for the system. Three participants, who arrived at the finishing point, were honored by wearing a medal.

In the first place in the marathon, Runner Devaram Kumar, a resident of Jodhpur in the state. At the same time, Anil Komini of Gujarat was in second place and Mukesh Kumar of Jodhpur in third place. Winner Devaram told that he had been practicing for this marathon for a long time. The arrangements here are quite good for the participants. This marathon is a separate experience for runners due to the separation of the climate here and climbing the hill.

Traffic from Aburod to Mount Abu remained closed for two hours from 5.30 am to 7.30 am on Sunday for the marathon. It may be noted that the marathon is being organized to commemorate the 18th death anniversary of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani, former chief administrator of Brahmakumari’s Institute (25 August).

The marathon was attended by 18 years of youth to 72 years old. Apart from all the states of India, runners from South Africa, Britain London, Cania, Dubai, Ethiopia participated in it. Some runners professionals, while some came to run to stay healthy.
