New Delhi. YouTube is making a big change in the way you find content on your platform. From July 21, the video streaming service will remove the trending page and the trending now list, which was first introduced in 2015 nearly a decade ago. In place of this, the YouTube category-specific chart will be offered. These charts will highlight the most popular content in different styles. The company has claimed that in the last five years the trending page has decreased significantly, as users are looking for content in many other ways on the platform.

New category-specific charts
The new category-specific charts will include trending music videos, weekly top podcast shows and trending movie trailers. There are plans to add more categories in future. According to a YouTube blog post, these charts will not only show trending content but will also give personalized recommendations based on the choice of users.

The aim of this new way is to show more popular content to the audience, which they usually watch while searching for new videos. Apart from this, the audience can also see non-pursed content by going to Explore menu, creator channels or by checking their subscriptions feed.

Inspiration tab for creators
Creators were using trending page to identify trends and get inspiration for trending ideas. In the same blog post, the platform stated that the Inspiration tab in YouTube Studio will continue to provide personal suggestions so that the creators can recognize the emerging trends for their channel. In addition, he announced a plan to launch new features, designed to support new creators, including the ‘Hype’ feature that allows the audience to promote their favorite new videos.
