New Delhi. Nana Patekar is known for his angry nature. He himself has also admitted that he gets angry. Nana Patekar worked with screenwriter-director Sai Paranjpe in the 1990 film direction. He was already warned about Nana’s nature and anger, but he still decided to cast Nana in the film with Om Puri and Shabana Azmi. Recently, Sai told that Nana Patekar lost his temper on the set and then left the set.
In a conversation with Filmfare, Sai told that I had a conversation with Nana Patekar. His nature was also warned and he was very good in the beginning. Sai told that she asked Nana to come on the set four days later, as she first wanted to shoot the scenes of Shabana and Om Puri and then wanted to focus on Nana’s scenes. However, Nana insisted that he wants to come on the set, even if he has no work on the set.
Nana Patekar was angry with slippers
Seeing the commitment of Nana Patekar, Say was very impressed, but soon he had to face the anger of the actor. Sai remembered that for the first three days of the shooting of the film, he focused on Shabana and Om Puri, which made Nana feel neglected. He said, ‘I was running after Shabana and Om Puri for three days. Perhaps Nana must have felt that I am ignoring him. After three days, when he was packed, I came to Nana. On the second day of the shoot, he got angry with the slippers and it was a big uproar. Everyone was surprised.
Nana’s anger erupted during dubbing
Sai told that her daughter had a friendly relationship with Nana Patekar and she helped to calm her, but this did not reduce Nana’s anger. Recalling this incident, Sai said, ‘This happened again and he said that I am going. I do not want to work in this cheap film. He left but everyone persuaded him. The third time this incident happened during dubbing and he threw pages and said that I will not do it.

Nana Patekar threatened the director
The director further explained how he got angry at Nana Patekar. Sai said, ‘For the third time I lost my temper and asked him to leave. I told him to do it either do it or get out. I am fed up with your nails. Can you not behave like professionals. Nana went out in anger, but came back after half an hour and threatened me that you are safe because you are a woman, otherwise you are not here and went out in anger again. The next morning, Nana calmed down in the morning and he called me and asked me the time of shift to complete the dubbing.
