World Wrestling Championships: The Paris Olympic hero has been disqualified in the Indian Wrestler Aman Sehrawat World Wrestling Championship. Aman has to be out due to overweight. Aman, who won the bronze medal in the Paris Olympics, was found to be 1.7 kg more weight in the body due to which he was disqualified for this competition.

A source in the Indian party told Zagreb to PTI, ‘It is unfortunate and surprising that Aman Sehrawat could not control his weight. When he stood up to measure weight, his weight was 1700 grams more. This is not acceptable. How much his weight became so much is beyond our comprehension.
According to the United World Wrestling (UWW) rules implemented two years ago, two kilograms of weight are given for the World Cup, UWW ranking series and other international tournaments. However, there is no such exemption in events like World Championship and Olympics. Surprisingly, Aman had reached the adaptation and training camp with the rest of Indian wrestlers in Jagreb, Croatia on August 25, which gave him about 20 days to control his weight.
