World Boxing Championships: One step away from Jasmin medal, in World Championship Quarter Final

Liverpool. On Monday, both good and bad news were heard for the Indian team in the World Boxing Championship. Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Jasmin Lumboria defeated Brazil’s two -time Olympian Jusilan Serkira, showing his strong game. With this victory, he moved towards the first medal in the World Boxing Championship. Jasmin won the pre -quarterfinals and made it to the final 8. It is a matter of disappointment that two other boxers of India were out after losing.

For the third time, Jasmin, playing the World Championship, showed a very aggressive game. In the final 16 of the women’s 57 kg category, Brazil’s two -time Olympian Jusilan Serkira Roomau defeated 5-0. The two also competed for the gold medal in the Astana tournament in July, in which Jasmin was victorious. Now Jasmin is a win away from the World Championship medal. He will face Asian Under 22 Champion Kumarabonu Mamajonova in Uzbekistan in the quarter -finals.
