Age, Gnetics and Gender: A new study of Harvard University has revealed that some families can have a role of science, not just luck, but also the role of science.

Why are only girls or boys born in some families? Learn the reason

According to Harvard’s study, if a woman becomes a mother after 29 years, then the same gender children can be born.

Highlights

  • In some families only boys or girls are born, which is a reason.
  • The pattern is different in families where there are 3 or more children.
  • It is more likely to have children of the same gender when you become a mother at 29+ age.
New Study on Boys & Girls: Children are considered a boon of nature. Every day a large number of children are born naturally. Sometimes a boy is born in someone, sometimes a girl is born. Most of the boys are born in many families, while some family have more number of girls. Have you ever wondered why only boys or only girls are in some families? Most people consider it a game of luck. Scientists of Harvard University also tried to find the answer to the same question. She studied the birth record of more than 58000 women nurses born between 1956 and 2015 and the results came out quite surprised.
Toi ki Report According to Harvard’s study found that families where there are only 2 children, there is the most likely to be both boy and girl. Gender is balanced in such families. In families where there are 3 or more children, the pattern has seen something different. In such families, all children were found to be more likely to be boys or only girls. According to the study, if there are three boys already in a family, then the fourth child is also 61% likely to be a boy. Similarly, if there are three girls, then the fourth child is 58% likely to be a girl. That is, the gender whose children are already there, the chances of the next child’s gender also increase.
Till now it was believed that in every pregnancy, the possibility of being a boy or a girl is equal ie 50-50, but this study has challenged this recognition. According to researcher Dr. Alex Poliakov, now doctors will have to inform that the chances of having a separate gender can actually be less than 50%. Especially when there are many children of the same gender in the family. The study also revealed that women who became a mother for the first time at the age of 29 years or older, all their children are 13% more likely to have the same gender, compared to women who become a mother before 23 years. One reason behind this may be that with aging, the chemistry of the body of women like vagina changes, which can lead to some type of sperm to reach the egg.

This study was only based on mothers, but researchers believe that father -related factors can also play a role in it. This study is just a beginning and in the coming years, this subject will be researched more deeply. So next time when you see only four girls or four boys in a family, then understand that it can be the effect of science, not just a coincidence.
