Scientists found that the reason for men exceeds women is biological, genetic and hormonal factors. The shox genes are more active on y chromosomes, increasing the length of men.

Why is men's height more than women? What is 5 inch circle!

There is a difference of 5 inches on an average in the height of men and women.

Highlights

  • The reason for men exceeds women is biological and genetic.
  • The shox genes are more active on y chromosomes, increasing the length of men.
  • Testosterone hormone also helps in increasing the length of men.

Why men are usually taller than women: Mahila and men are different from each other in the physical structure and this difference has been given by nature. One such difference is in women and men’s height. Men are usually longer than women. But what is the reason? If this question also comes to your mind, then scientists have now found the answer to this question. There is a difference of 5 inches on an average in the height of men and women. Now scientists have found the answer to this question. It has been revealed in the new market that the reason for this is linked in biological, genetic, and hormonal factors.

The teams of America and Britain together analyzed DNA data of about 1 million people and found that a particular gene makes men longer than women. These are published in the Prosedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Genetics – The length depends primarily on genetic factors. The presence of X and Y chromosomes in men and women affect the length. The chromosome combination of men is XY, while women have XX. Some genes in the y chromosome, such as the shox (short stature homeobox) genes genes, increase bone and length. In men, Y can contribute to the presence of chromosomes and its related genes to increase length. Although the shox gene is in both women and men, its effect is still a difference. The reason for this is that the shox gene is more active on the chromosome, which increases the length of men.

This study also included people who have X or Y chromosomes in the body. These are rare conditions. In such cases it was observed that additional Y chromosomes increased the length of people more while additional X chromosomes did not affect that much. This made it clear that the Shox gene present in the Y chromosome affects the length more. Scientists say that this special situation of SHOX gene is a little less active in women, so that they do not get full benefit. This gene works more in men and this causes more lengths of men up to about 25%. The rest of the difference comes due to sex hormones and other genetic reasons like testosterone.

The presence of X and Y chromosomes in men and women affect the length.

Apart from this new study, the reason behind the difference in the height of women-men is also some other. Such as hormonal differences. A major cause of length differences are testosterone and estrogen hormones are also there. Testosterone promotes bones and muscle growth during puberty in men. It helps in increasing the length and density of bones, which has a higher height of men. Whereas estrogen controls the growth of bones in women. Apart from this, things like women and men’s puberty (puberty) time, body structure are also responsible for the difference of height.
