What happened after that, he would not have even thought in dreams. Shortly after the photo was downloaded, 2.01 lakh rupees were deducted from his bank account.
Seeing this, the ground slipped under Pradeep Jain’s feet. According to the news, the hacker withdrawn this money from an ATM in Hyderabad. Canara Bank also called to confirm the transaction, but the hackers copied Pradeep’s voice and talked to the bankers and took over the matter.
How to scam from a WhatsApp photo
For cyber fraud, the scammers have discovered this new method, they are using Least Significant Bit Steganography. Through this, some changes are made in a file like photo or audio in a very small significant bits and hidden data is kept hidden so that they can fraud. This data seems normal to look from outside but very dangerous codes (malware) are hidden inside. As soon as this photo goes to your phone, these codes activate and take control of the device. Through this, hackers get an OTP access and they can also take remote access to the device. In such a situation, it would be better not to download any file of any kind from the unknown number.
