WhatsApp continues to work on new features. Now the report has been received that the messaging service for Android users is testing a new update. The name of this new feature is ‘Motion Photo’, and it is cleared that under this feature, the user will get the facility to send motion photos in the app. According to feature tracker WABetaInfo, this feature has been seen in WhatsApp beta version 2.25.22.29 and is currently made available for some beta testers.

Motion photo is a feature in which a few moments are recorded before and after clicking photos. It captures both audio and movement, which makes the photos look more live. When choosing the image from the gallery, users will see a new icon that would have a ring and a small circle around the play button. The image can be sent as a motion photo by tapping this icon.

However, to send motion photos on WhatsApp, it is necessary that this feature is already present in your device. Even if your phone does not provide the facility to capture the motion photo, but you will be able to see the motion photo sent from others.

The new icon of this feature will appear on the top right corner of the screen. On tapping on this, users will be able to send a photo as a motion photo. It will not only include visual movement, but also audio support, that is, users will also be able to hear the voice of these moments.

Apple is also working on this strong feature

Apart from motion photos, WhatsApp is working on another big update in which users will be able to share ‘usernems’ instead of their phone number. This feature will help in strengthening privacy.
