New Delhi: Filmmaker Boney Kapoor reached Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh on Monday 26 May and held a meeting with the Authority about the Film City being built in Sector-21 of the Yamuna Expressway area. During this time it was revealed that the foundation of Noida International Film City can be laid in the last week of June. It is being made by Boney Kapoor’s Bevyuy Company and Bhutani Group. An institute will also be built on about 21 acres in one part of the film city, where education and training related to the film will be given. This is the dream project of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Its foundation can be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath together.

Boney Kapoor told IANS that its foundation will be laid before June 30. In its first phase, 14 sound stages of the film studio will be built. Institutes will be built on 21 acres and studios will also be prepared. Regarding the specialty of Film City, he told, ‘There will be many studios and different floors in the film city. There will be a tank of permanent water in a studio. It will have a virtual studio, where a big LED screen will be installed. This screen can be 80 by 20 or bigger. Here you can show scenes made of computer. There will be different size studios. For some TV shows, some for films. There will be permanent sets at some places. Also, there will be an open ground, where outdoor shooting can be done. All this will be spread over 155 acres.

Boney Kapoor said, ‘Currently three film City are the most active in India, one is a Mumbai film city, the second Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City and the third Indie Studio, which is near Mumbai. Apart from this, Film City was also made in Tamil Nadu, but at the moment it is not as active. I have worked in these three big film cities and have also shot there. I am well aware of both their goodness and shortcomings. Some shortcomings have been recognized by those film Cities themselves and are trying to improve them. Boney Kapoor finally said, ‘I have seen all these film cities closely. When this film city was made, the era was different, neither technology was like this, neither needs were more. But now the time has changed, Noida International Film City will be made according to today’s era.
