New Delhi. Two Olympic medalist Manu Bhakar said that Jaspal Rana will continue to be his coach, who has been appointed by the Indian National Rifle Association (NRAI) high -performance trainer of pistol shooting.
Four times, there were differences between the Asian Games gold medalist Rana and Manu before the Tokyo Olympics, but the two again came together before the Paris Olympics. Manu created history by winning two bronze medals in the Paris Olympics.
Manu became the first Indian player after independence to win two medals in the same Olympics under Rana’s guidance. He won bronze medals in the ten meter air pistol individual and team category.
Manu said after winning the BBC best female player’s award on Monday night, ‘I will say that she (Rana) is my coach and is very good in her work. He is very talented and has been a very good coach for me. He is my coach. He can be the coach of anyone else but for me he is my coach.
Regarding future plans, he said, ‘We will go to the World Cup in April and then there are domestic events in June. Munich is again in the World Cup and the World Championship in October November. My goal is World Championship.
