A proposal to praise the armed forces was presented in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. During this, CM Mamta targeted the central government. Mamta said- Pahalgam terror attack was the result of the negligence of the center. Mamta asked why the security personnel were absent at the terrorist attack site.
Mamta said that the BJP is trying to politicize the valor of the armed forces, the BJP government should leave as it has failed to provide security to the people of the country.
Taking a sarcasm on Prime Minister Modi, he accused that PM Modi is busy advertising only about himself.
Mamta said-

Terrorism has no religion, caste or creed; We do not support it. There was a need to teach terrorists a lesson, we salute the bravery of the armed forces.
Mamta’s claim- We had a good chance to withdraw the POK
Mamta also said in the assembly that the air strike and operation on Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack was a good chance to withdraw Sindoor PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). Mamta alleged that whenever elections come near, then the BJP conducts incidents like Pulwama.
BJP’s question- Why not the word vermilion in the proposal
Opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari said that a religious community was specially targeted in the Pahalgam attack, which was not mentioned in the proposal. The BJP questioned why there is no word vermilion in the proposal.
