A big alert has emerged for millions of users using iPhone or Apple devices. The Cyber Security Agency of the Government of India, Cert-in (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) has issued a high-level security alert for iPhone, iPad and Mac users. This alert was released on 4 August 2025 and it states that many of Apple’s devices have been found to have serious flaws which hackers can easily get their work.

According to CERT-in, many technical weaknesses have been found in these devices, such as type confusion, use-after-friend errors, error of memory access, integer overflow and buffer overflow, improvement and pervilege Mismanagement.

Which devices are in danger?
These weaknesses have been found in all devices that have old software from the operating system OS version below.

All iPhones before iOS 18.6
All iPads before iPados 17.7.9 or 18.6
Macos sequoia before 15.6
Macos sonoma before 14.7.7
Before Macos Ventura 13.7.7
Watchos before 11.6
Before TVOS 18.6
Before Visionos 2.6.

For this, go to the device’s settings → General → Software Update and install a new update.
