If you are 18 years old and now you have to create a voter ID, but you want to avoid the long line of the government office, then you have good news for you. Now you can apply online for voter ID and get it in 15 days. Know here how you can apply for it online and how to check its status.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has recently announced a new standard operating process, under which arrangements have been made to spread the voter ID card to voters within 15 days. That is, now you can get your voter ID within 15 days.
This decision has been taken for the convenience of voters along with other initiatives proposed by Chief Election Commissioner Shri Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioner Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi. After the implementation of the new regime, voters can not only get their voter IDs in 15 days, but can also check the status during the process of its formation.
The new system will be possible through the Real-Time Tracking and Delivery Tracking Department of Posts (DOP). Voters will get SMS alerts at every stage, so that they will be updated about their EPIC progress.
How to apply for online voter card: National Voters Services Portal (NVSP) Https://voters.eci.gov.in. Sign up using your mobile number and email address and complete the captcha. Create an account by entering your name. Enter and confirm the password, then add OTP rei. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter OTP and log in to your account using your credentials, then captcha and enter another OTP. For new voter registration, click on “Fill Form 6” option and enter your personal, relative, contact and address information. Upload all the documents required for verification. Now check your application form once so that there is no mistake. Then click on submit button.
How to track voter ID card application online: National Voters Services Portal (NVSP) Https://voters.eci.gov.in. Login with your username and password. Go to the ‘Track Application Status’ page. After completing Form 6 and 6A, enter the reference number received. Choose your kingdom and click on the Submit button. Now you can see the status of your application.
