New Delhi. Digital frauds are now adopting new ways, but this time the scam did what was a funny and a matter of concern. Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma received a message in which someone was calling himself “Vijay Shekhar Sharma” and was trying to talk to him. Vijay shared its screenshot on X (first Twitter) and wrote – “IMPERSONATING MYSELF TO ME” means “I am scaming myself!”

People made fun comments on this. Someone wrote, “Just want so much confidence”, then someone asked, “How much cashback will be available on Paytm UPI?” Referring to the Bollywood film, a user said – “Vijay Calling Vijay!”

But a big threat is hidden behind the joke

They try to implicate you by identifying someone else who fraudulently in such scams. This is not only with Vijay Shekhar Sharma, common people also get caught in such a trap every day.

Whatsapp has given some important safety tips

  • Wait and think – If a person is asking for money in a hurry or wants private information, then be alert.
  • If you are in doubt, stop the conversation – if the person in front does not look true, then stop the chat or call there.
  • Block and report – Block the scam number immediately and report on WhatsApp.

  • Always confirm (Verify): On asking for money or information, contact the front in some other way and check.
  • Do not click on the link: Stay away from unknown links or strange websites.
  • Adopt 2FA and Secure Password: Put two-step verification in every account and keep a strong password.
  • Keep social media private: The less you share, the more safe it will be.
  • Be careful: If there is talk like asking more in a message, wrong spelling or gift card – then understand that it is a scam.
