Mumbai: Filmmaker Subhash Ghai considers his 60 -year -old friendship with famous actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha. The friendship of the two started from the days of the film and television institute of India (FTII). The two worked together in the film ‘Kalicharan’ released in 1976.

Subhash recalled the moment when he had dinner with Shatrughan. The actor’s son Luv clicked his picture there. Sharing this picture on Instagram, Subhash wrote, ‘Last night there was a very happy moment for me, when our beloved Poonam Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv Sinha clicked our picture during dinner with friends.’ Subhash further said, ‘Shatrughan Sinha is my old friend, our friendship is from the days of FTII, when we were struggling in the world of both films. We worked together in our first film ‘Kalicharan’ and made a distinct identity. We are still close to each other’s family. Even though Shatrughan chose politics and I continued the work related to making films, we have been meeting on every special occasion for the last 60 years.

The filmmaker said, ‘Last night we all had a lot of fun, laughed a lot and talked like friends of the old college. We were accompanied by Luv and Kush, and our cheerful friends Shashi Ranjan and Rumi Jeffrey. Shatrughan’s heart is gold and the mind is very strong.
