Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday indicated an alliance with his cousin Raj Thackeray -led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Uddhav said amidst the latest speculation of the alliance that the people of Maharashtra will be the same.

However, Uddhav Thackeray postponed the question whether any conversation is going on between his party and MNS. He said that there is no confusion in the minds of the workers of both parties regarding the alliance.

Raj Thackeray separated from Shiv Sena in 2006 and made MNS. Maharashtra is expected to have body elections by September this year. The discussion of the alliance between the two parties is intensified due to poor performance between Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS in the 2024 assembly elections.
