New Delhi. Bollywood actor Daya Shankar Pandey is known for working in popular films like ‘Lagaan’, ‘Gangajal’ and ‘Swades’. Recently, he described his experience of working with Aamir Khan. Daya Shankar has worked with Aamir in films like ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Ghulam’. The actor revealed that Aamir once removed him from his film ‘Alone Hum Akela Tum’, because he felt that mercy for that role was overwelled.
Talking on YouTube channel Friday Talkies, Daya Shankar Pandey said, ‘I did not have work. I was struggling with economic crisis. My family also refused to support me and I thought that now I will earn money myself. I told the Assistant Director of the film Alone Hum Alone Tum to give me any role and they gave me 12 days work in the film, for which I was getting 2000 rupees every day.

Daya Shankar Pandey told that Aamir Khan already knew him, as he worked together in the 1995 film ‘Baji’ and he considered him as a good actor. However, due to Aamir Khan, Daya Shankar Pandey did not get a role in ‘Alone Hum Akela Tum’.

He told, ‘I was trying to escape from Aamir sir so that he would not see me somewhere, but one day he saw me and asked what I am doing here. When I told that I am playing a junior artist, he told Mansoor Khan and AD that it is a very good actor. Do not waste it. He said that you do not do this role. But I did not want to hear the compliment, I wanted to earn money. At that time I felt Aamir Khan villain, because he had done my pack-up.
