The deceased has been identified as 24 -year -old Sariful Islam, who was employed as an electrician in the Agartala Smart City Project.
The body of the youth was recovered from the fridge on Wednesday in Gandachera area of Dhalai district of Tripura. The young man was murdered on June 8 in Agartala, then the body was brought here and hidden in the fridge.
Superintendent of Police of West Tripura Kiran Kumar said that the deceased has been identified as 24 -year -old Sariful Islam, who was working as an electrician in the Agartala Smart City Project.
He said that Sariful was murdered due to Love Triangle. He had an affair with a 20 -year -old girl. At the same time, the girl’s cousin Diwakar also loved her.
Recently there was a fight between the lover couple and they were not talking. Taking advantage of this, Diwakar planned to remove the young man from the road and called him home and killed him.
Diwakar’s 3 friends supported him in the murder. At the same time, his parents brought the dead body from Agartala to Gandachera and hid in the fridge. The police have arrested all six people in this case.
The police have arrested the main accused Diwakar as well as 3 of his friends and parents.
Diwakar called Sariful home by giving excuses for a gift
According to the police, the accused Dr. Diwakar Saha (29) called Sariful to the house in Indiranagar, his Agartala on the night of 8 June. He had made an excuse to give him a gift. There were already 3 friends of three Diwakar Animesh Yadav (21), Nabneet Das (25) and Jaideep Das (20). The four strangled Sariful to strangle and then locked the body in a trolley bag.
The parents of the accused hide the body in the fridge
On June 9, Diwakar’s parents, Deepak Saha (52) and Debika Saha reached Agartala from Gandachera. It is alleged that he reached Gandachera with the bag and hid the body in the ice cream freezer present in his shop.
The police was given a missing report by the family of the deceased, after which the investigation started. In this, the matter of the young man’s accused Diwakar went to the house. When the police questioned Diwakar, he confessed to the crime and informed about the dead body.
