Sriganganagar. Armaan Matoria, a player of Lalgarh Jatan in Sriganganagar district, has increased the pride of the country by winning a gold medal by performing brilliantly in the South Asian Youth Basketball Championship. This championship was held in Maldives. In this tournament played in the Under-16 category, the Indian team defeated Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka and entered the finals. India won the gold medal by defeating Sri Lanka in the final.
Grand reception on reaching the village, social workers and officials congratulated
SI Vidyut Nagar Police Station Officer Surjit Sheoran, SPG Commando Madan Godara, District Handball Association President Iqbal Singh, social worker Jaydev Godara and retired teacher Jagdish Daivan were present at the ceremony organized on the village of Armaan. All the guests honored Armaan and wished him a bright future. Armaan Matoria trained by staying in his Nanihal Lalgarh Jatan. He has been continuously practicing and he worked hard to improve his game.

Earlier, Armaan also won the title of Best Three Point Shooter in the Under-16 National Tournament held in Pondicherry. On the basis of this performance, he gave the Rajasthan team a silver medal. After this, Armaan also went to coaching at Korvus American Academy in Mumbai a month ago. There he paid special attention to his technology and fitness. Armaan told that he practiced more than two hours daily in the morning and evening. Along with this, kept himself busy in running and other fitness activities. He has credited his success to the support and constant hard work of the family. This success of Armaan Matoria has inspired not only the youth of Sriganganagar district but the youth of the entire state. The story of his struggle and hard work has now become an example for the region.
