Lava Storm Play and Storm Lite 5g Launched: Lava has launched two new budget 5G smartphones in its story series: Storm Play and Storm Lite. If you do not remember, the original Storm was launched in 5G December 2023. Since then, Lava did not give any new update in this series. Both these new storm devices are focused on giving a strong smartphone experience, which offer 5G and other modern features at a price of less than Rs 10,000. The starting price of Lava Storm Play is Rs 9,999, while the starting price of Storm Lite is Rs 7,999.

Price of Lava Storm Play and Storm Lite

Lava Storm Play and Storm Light 5G sales will start from June 19 and 24 respectively. Both phones will be available at special launch prices on Amazon, whose prices are Rs 9,999 and Rs 7,999 respectively. Prices and variants prices after the special offer ended have not been announced yet.

Lava Storm Play and Storm Light have a good mix of rare specifications in the budget segment. Both phones have a 6.75-inch HD+ display and support the 120Hz refresh rate. It is good to see that not only the Storm Play, but also the starting price of Rs 7,999 has a 120Hz panel.

Both phones run on MediaTek Dimsity Chipsets, the dimensity in the store play is 7060, while the dimensity in the store light is 6400. These chipsets are capable of handling everyday tasks and giving 5G connectivity, which is still rare in this price.

The phone comes with Android 15, which has a clean stock experience and there is no advertisement or blotware, which the budget users will like.

Talking about memory, Storm Play has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, while Storm Light has 4GB RAM, which comes with 64GB or 128GB storage. Virtual RAM is also supported. For photos and videos, both phones have a dual-rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel IMX752 primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. However, the Storm Play has an 8-megapixel front camera, while the Storm light has a 5-megapixel front camera.

Other features include side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP64 ratings for dust and water resistance, USB-type C port and 5000mAh battery. Storm Play 18W supports fast charging, while Storm Light gives 15W charging, which is appropriate for this price.
