If you also travel from the highway, then soon you will be able to choose the option of the lowest toll route through NHAI’s Rajya Marg Yatra app. Yes, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is now going to add a toll tax indicator feature in its official app, so that users will be able to detect the lowest toll tax route between two cities. According to the PTI report, this information has been given by a senior NHAI officer. Let us know that the app of NHAI was launched in the year 2023, which gives users necessary information about many facilities on Indian national highways. Now it will also include the details of toll tax applied to many routes between two places. Apart from this, the app will also highlight the highway that pays the least toll tax.
Understand this thing with an example. There are three different routes to go from Delhi to Lucknow. This app will help passengers to choose the best option. That is, passengers can choose Yamuna Expressway, Ghaziabad-Aligarh-Kanpur road or Moradabad-Bareilly-Sitapur road for Delhi-Lucknow visit. This app will give complete information about which toll tax on which highway will be less on the highway. The app will identify the lowest toll route between these two cities, you will tell you about it.
How can you apply for Fastag annually?
NHAI has recently launched Fastag Annual Pass. The price of this near is Rs 3,000 and it allows you to travel 200 toll-free visits on any highway. This pass will be valid for a full year. The implementation of this new Fastag rule will start from August 15, 2025. If you complete 200 toll-free trips before the end period is over, then you have to recharge your fastag again. The thing to note is that this pass will be valid only on the toll plaza authorized by the National Highway Authority and will not work on the toll plaza of the state government.
To apply for the annual pass, users can visit NHAI’s website or use the Highway Yatra app. They will have to verify the information about the active fastag related to the registration certificate of the vehicle. After this, Rs 3,000 will have to be paid at a time. After the verification and payment process is completed, the annual Fastag pass will be released.
