Harra i.e. Harad is also a part of Triphala and a large quantity is found in the forests of Chhattisgarh. Its taste is bitter, but it is considered extremely effective in increasing constipation, abdominal pain and immunity. The demand for this fruit of the forest is in the country.

The tree of Karanja can usually be seen in the forests. Its fruits and seeds are used in Ayurvedic medicines and organic pesticides. Karanja oil is applied in skin diseases and its fruit powder is beneficial in diseases like joint pain and diabetes.

Bahera, full of Ayurvedic properties, the fruit of Bahera is a main component of Triphala. This fruit is found naturally in the forests of Chhattisgarh and is used in Ayurveda to increase digestion, immunity and treat skin diseases. Villagers dry it and consume it as powder.

Kusum tree is found in the forests of Chhattisgarh. The seed emanating from its fruit is known for “Kusum Oil”, which is beneficial for hair and skin. Kusum leaves are also used as animal feed.

The fruit of Akol or Akol grows in bushes in the forests. It is used medicinally in villages, especially in stomach problems. It contains fiber and minerals, which are beneficial for the body.
