On Wednesday, the pro -Kannada organization ‘Karnataka Rakshana Vedike’ lodged a complaint with the Bengaluru police against actor Kamal Haasan’s comment. Haasan recently said during the audio launch of his upcoming film ‘Thug Life’ in Chennai that ‘Kannada language was born from Tamil’. This matter has increased so much that some are also opposing the actor’s film thug life.
What alleged
Officials said that the organization led by Praveen Shetty has lodged a complaint at RT Nagar police station here and demanded legal action against the actor. In the complaint, the organization alleged that the “controversial statement” made by the actor not only hurt the sentiments of the Kannada people, but it has sown poison seeds between Kannada and Tamils and insulted the Kannada people.

The complaint alleged, “Every time a new Tamil film is released, they constantly hurt the self -esteem of the Kannada people. Such statements have been given continuously and this has disrupted peace and order between Kannada and Tamils.

A senior police officer said, “We have received a complaint. But no FIR has been registered so far. We are taking legal opinions and according to that we will take further action in the case. ”Let us tell you that with the comments of the actor, the supporters of Kannada have spread anger among many organizations. He staged a protest against Hassan in many places including Belagavi, Mysuru, Hubli, Bengaluru in the state.

Demand for apology
Condemning Hassan’s statement, the protesters demanded that they apologize to the people of the state. He has warned that if Haasan does not apologize, then the performance of his film ‘Thug Life’ in the state will be obstructed. The activists also burnt posters of Hassan at Belgavi and some other places and raised slogans against them.
