AIIMS Delhi may be included in the best hospitals in the world in terms of treatment, but many patients are nervous about going to this hospital spread like huge crowds and maze here. Many times it also happens that patients who have arrived for the treatment of a disease come out during the tests, for which they have to go to many departments. At the same time, the patient has to go to different blocks inside AIIMS for new-oped to old OPD, emergency, diagnostic fashion. In such a situation, the patient has to ask the way again and again. But from now on, this problem is going to get rid of.

Recently, Union Health Minister JP Nadda has launched a new application named Disha for All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi which will help patients find way in the hospital premises. The most important thing is that this app does not require internet and you can use it in Hindi or English in any language. This will help patients find OPD, laboratories, pharmacy, appointment windows, diagnostic centers etc.

Please tell that around 15 to 16000 patients come to AIIMS New Delhi daily. All these are not only from Delhi, Haryana, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh but also from other states of far away. Since AIIMS is not just a hospital but a big medical institute than a university, in AIIMS spread over 213 acres, patients have a lot of trouble in reaching different medical facilities.

These patients do not know the way, in such a situation, they wander many times or do not reach the right time even after asking. However, now this navigation app released for the hospital premises will make every such difficulty easier. Disha app is an indoor navigation system based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IOT), which will show the way to all places inside AIIMS.

This technique is engaged in Disha app

To find a way in AIIMS, sensors have been installed from place to place, which shows you the correct direction by telling you the location. It contains digital maps, in which information about the floors and necessary places of the entire hospital is given. This system shows the smallest or easiest way using artificial intelligence technology, so that patients or their families do not face any problem.

Regarding this, Dr. M Srinivas, Director of AIIMS New Delhi, said, ‘This app is a symbol of our vision, in which we are offering patient-focused services using AI and IOT technology. This will lead to AIIMS Smart Healthcare Infrastructure.

Divyang will get information about low crowded paths

In the app, different facilities have been provided for patients using wheelchairs. They will be informed about the easiest path, so that they can reach easily without congestion. It also has turn-by-turn voice and visual navigation, which will give information in many languages. This system can also show the way between many floors and buildings. Through this, you can easily find doctors, labs, pharmacy, billing counters and other facilities. It also gives information about the crowded place.

In AIIMS Media Cell, PIC Professor Reema Dada said that hospitals may seem to be frightening for visitors or elderly patients for the first time. AIIMS direction will ensure that any person who comes to AIIMS does not have any kind of problem. This is an important step towards making health services a human form as well as making them more accessible and technology-enabled.
