Mani Ratnam recently told during a conversation with the media that Kamal Haasan’s contribution to the film was very important in making the idea of ​​’Thug Life’.

During the promotional event of the film in Mumbai, when he was asked how the idea of ​​’Thug Life’ came, Mani Ratnam said that he first thought of Kamal Haasan in his mind and then inspired by that, the idea of ​​the story of ‘Thug Life’ came. It started from there.

Talking about the film, Mani Ratnam said, ‘I think the scale of the film is decided according to the story. Whatever the story is required, we do the same and when there is the right cast and crew team, it is always fun and the director’s work becomes easy. I am lucky that I got the best people. This has been a great experience for me.

At the same time, Kamal Haasan said, ‘The most exciting thing was to work with Mani Ratnam, all the other things went on their own.’ Talking about Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan said, ‘We both lived in the same area. I used to see him as a friend. I did not know that he was from a film family. He was a common man and I loved his way of speaking. We became friends and we also had a group of friends. We did not make any gossip, just and only talk about cinema. We started from here. We all liked to see any actor or director working on any set.

The team of ‘Thug Life’ came together for a special media event for the first time in Mumbai, where the film was promoted. On this occasion, Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and A. R. Rahman came together.
