The government has made changes in the regulations of the AC Remort and set the level of AC cooling. AC users cannot cool less than 20 degrees Cellsius after the implementation of this regium.
1. What are the new rules? : The government has set some new standards for AC remote. According to this, the cooling of AC should be between 20 to 28 ACs anywhere. The government’s purpose behind setting these standards is energy saving and protection of the environment.
2. Will old remotes not work?: No, old remotes will still work. But the new remotes will have some additional features that will help in saving energy.
3. Is it necessary to buy a new remote? : No, it is not necessary to buy a new remote. You can continue using your old remote. But if you want new features, you can buy a new remote.
4. How long will these rules be implemented? : These rules will be applicable soon. The government has not yet announced the date, but it is expected that these rules will be implemented in the next few months. Explain that the government has also conducted a public survey before finalizing this rule, in which the public has been asked what is the temperature of the most suitable AC for them.
5. Will any device have to be installed in the old AC?: No, the government has not issued any such advisory. Currently, the government has fixed the cooling limit, but this advisory has not been issued yet how new regulations will be implemented or will have to install a new diva in the old AC.
What would happen if the old AC is run above or down the standard? What kind of action the government can take if the regulations can not be followed, it has not been disclosed at the moment. The Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, has given just this information in his announcement that a new provision about air conditioning standards will be implemented soon. Details are yet to come on it.
