New Delhi. If you have not yet updated the details of your Aadhaar, then there is news of relief for you. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the duration of its free online Aadhaar document update service. This decision has come at a time when many base holders need to update their documents due to marriage, transfer or other life events. This free service is especially available on the Myadhaar portal, so that people can submit documents from their smartphone or computer.
Aadhaar update free service date extended
UIDAI has increased the date of free service of Aadhaar document update from 14 June 2025 to 14 June 2026. According to the official announcement on social media platform X (first Twitter), this free service is to “benefit millions of Aadhaar numbers”. UIDAI is urging people to take advantage of this extra time and keep their documents updated and correct. This service is available only through the Myadhaar online portal and is free during this period.
