Prateik Babbar married Priya Banerjee on February 14, 2025 at a private wedding ceremony at her late mother Smita Patil’s house in Mumbai. He was surrounded by his close family and friends during the ceremony. However, Raj Babbar, Arya Babbar and Juhi Babbar were not invited to the wedding and this news created a stir on social media.

The actor has now revealed the real reason why he did not call Raj Babbar and his family. Prateek told Zoom, ‘There was some estrangement in the past between my father’s wife (Nadira) and my mother (Smita Patil). In the meantime, many things were said in the press. I was ready to do something at another ceremony with my father and his family. I felt that it would not be right to call him and his family to that house after everything was over. Of course, it was not right. We did what was right to do, and then, if, obviously, now the circumstances are different, then everything has deteriorated, and it is very tough. But this is not for me. I am still the same.
